Carnival, Minyard, Sack 'n Save employees contribute $300,000 to North Texas United Way organizations
Minyard Food Stores Inc.'s 5,200 employees opened their hearts and wallets to help community members in need through a collective contribution of $300,000 to local United Way organizations in Tarrant, Collin, Cooke, Denton, and Ellis counties.
"As operators of grocery stores and pharmacies, our company provides for the daily needs of thousands of North Texans. United Way agencies provide for the needs of these same people through the hundreds of service organizations they support. The generosity of our employees puts real meaning into our objective of satisfying the needs of the neighborhoods we serve," said Michael D. Byars, Minyard's chief executive officer.
