"START LIFE HEALTHY" – a program dedicated to providing prenatal vitamins to expectant mothers.Our pharmacies are committed to your health. To help ensure that you and your baby receive the essential nutrients during your pregnancy, we are providing FREE prescription Prenatal vitamins for up to 12 months.
     
How the program works:

 
  1. Ask your doctor to choose one of these three vitamins from our formulary, Advanced Natalcare, Natatab RX, or Natalcare Plus.
  2. Have your doctor write, fax, or call in a prescription for a one month supply with refills to any Minyard, Carnival, or Sack 'n Save Pharmacy.
  3. Your Minyard, Carnival, or Sack 'n Save Pharmacist will fill a one month supply at No Charge to you.
  4. Your prescription will be filled once a month for up to 12 months or 3 months after delivery at NO CHARGE.


Having a healthy baby starts with good nutrition. Many expectant mothers do not receive adequate nutrients such as Folic Acid, Iron, Calcium, and Phosphorus in their normal diet. "UT SOUTHWESTERN CENTER FOR BREAST CARE MOBILE MAMMOGRAPHY PROGRAM"
– a program designed for Dallas county women to access a digital mobile mammogram unit.




UT Southwestern Center for Breast Care offers a limited number of digital mammograms at no cost through a grant from the Dallas Affiliate of the Susan G. All Smiles Dental & Orthodontics Center Mobile Unit"ALLSMILES DENTAL & ORTHODONTICS CENTER MOBILE UNIT" - a program which allows All Smiles to reach out in the community through the use of their mobile unit.

 

All Smiles will be offering general dentistry services such as exams, cleanings, x-rays, and sealants and will be able to accept Medicaid, CHIP, insurance (PPO) and Cash.  Call 1-888-557-0000 for more information or to schedule an appointment.

METHODIST MEDICAL CENTER PROSTATE SCREENING AND AWARENESS PROGRAM

Methodist Health System, Prostate Screening & Awareness Program in partnership with Minyard Food Stores, Sack n' Save, & Carnival Foods will provide free prostate cancer blood test screening at various store locations in the metroplex. Included with the prostate blood test (PSA), each man screened will receive his glucose (sugar), triglycerides, and cholesterol (good, bad, total), results will be mailed within 5-7 days of doing the screening. Prostate cancer is the second leading cancer killer is America for men. The American Cancer Society estimates that 11,300 men in Texas will de diagnosed with prostate cancer this year and 3,000 men will lose their lives to the disease. If caught early, prostate cancer is treatable. The recommended screening age is African American men 40 and above, 38 with a family history or unknown history, Hispanic men 40 and above and Caucasian men and others 50 and above: 45 with a family history or unknown history. Most men diagnosed with prostate cancer have no symptoms and when symptoms do show, usually it is in the advanced stages of prostate cancer.  You should have a prostate exam, blood test and DRE or digital rectal exam done each year. After you have the blood test take your results to your doctor and he will perform the DRE, it is a necessary exam in the fight against prostate cancer.
